Purchasing Agent City of Newport News. Seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent who will be responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the Office of Purchasing. Successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Government Administration, Accounting, or a related field and 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in local government procurement with 3-4 years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. City residency is NOT required.

Procurement Officer III Prince William County Service Authority. This is a unique opportunity in the Service Authority's Management & Budget Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing professional-level procurement work in the areas of procurement operations and strategic procurement planning and analysis. Administering the Service Authority's contracting program from the outset (acquisition planning) to contract close-out. Develop and issues Invitation for Bids (IFB's) and Request for Proposals (RFP's), guides the selection process, reviews contract terms before recommending execution to the Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate will research and analyzes methods of acquiring goods and services to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement process.

Senior Buyer Loudoun County. This position is responsible for most contracts county-wide including negotiating, signing and awarding. An experienced individual is needed to contract for a wide variety of goods and services in compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act within the parameters of the Procurement guidelines and goals. Position provides procurement research, advice, and guidance to department heads, division/program/project managers, vendors, and other government procurement offices. The Senior Buyer also assists departments in handling their own small purchase requirements.
